  • Notes
    • Oscar Anderson, who came here with the body of his deceased daughter for interment a week ago died at the home of his mother Tuesday morning from small-pox.
His daughter had been an invalid for some time and while the cause of her death was understood to be consumption, it transpired that an attack of small-pox was the immediate cause of her death. When this was ascertained, Mr. Anderson and his wife were immediately quarantined at the home of his mother, and every other precaution taken to avoid any spread of the contagion. It is confidently believed these precautions will be effective, but the heath officer will continue every vigilance to prevent a further spread of the disease.
